Tomorrow we will be celebrating two exciting events: Mattie's 11 month milestone and George and I's 6th wedding anniversary. It is hard to believe that at this time six years ago, we were having our rehearsal dinner in Dan and Saradell's backyard. Everyone was dressed up in their western best and chowing down on steak and fried shrimp. We enjoyed the company of family and friends on the last night before we were "Mr. & Mrs." The past six years have flown by and I have loved every second of it. Being married to your best friend is a blessing that I cherish everyday.
Mattie is growing like a weed and doing new things daily. She is working on her second bottom tooth and pulling up on EVERYTHING. She takes several steps while holding our hand but still does not have a lot of interest in walking. When we make her take some steps she obliges but squeezes our hand and tries to sit down so she can crawl and do it "her way." :) It is so cute watching her try to walk.
She has learned a new word and says it all the time. George and I did a double-take the first time she said it because she only has said three words up to this point. Her new favorite word is "Noooo." We don't think she understands what it means but she sure does like how it sounds coming out of her mouth! Her teacher said that it is a popular word in their class right now. Needless to say, we're ready to move on to the next new word. It is hard not to laugh when she says it!
Today we got Mattie a small pool for outside and she was so excited. She played hard and went to bed a little early. She was tuckered out.
Tomorrow we will be going to the OKC zoo with Aunt Tiffany and cousins Tyler and Liam. We can't wait to hang out with them!
