We had a great time this past weekend with our loved ones. Easter is such a wonderful time to reflect on the blessings God has provided and the ultimate sacrifice that Christ paid for our ransom. We are thankful for the love of our Savior this Easter!

We kicked off the first official day of Spring Break 2013 with a trip to the OKC Zoo. It was a blast! Mattie got to spend the day with her cousins Lincoln, Stran and Claira. They each got to feed the giraffes and see all their favorite zoo animals.
George and I really enjoyed Mattie seeing the animals in person that we have been reading about in her books. Other than the giraffes, she especially liked the zebra and ostrich.

Yesterday I had an amazing time with all the loved ones in our lives. George is incredibly thoughtful and planned a Wine and Palette event for my 29th birthday. All of the 'artists' assembled at Joseppi's in Stillwater and we painted 'Kaleidoscope Poppies'. It was awesome! I love to paint and loved being around everyone else painting, too! Thanks to all my family and friends who came up to spend the day with us and bring out their inner creative self.
